London Rovers - The Tour
SPONSORED “TREK” – LONDON’S PREMIERSHIP GROUNDS 14th August 2005
Last Sunday, 14th August, a group of London–based Raith Rovers supporters made their way round London by foot, bus and ferry with the objective of stopping at the stadia of all 6 Premiership clubs in the capital (White Hart Lane, Highbury, Arsenal’s new stadium at Ashburton Grove, Stamford Bridge, Craven Cottage, The Valley & Upton Park).
In total, the trek lasted 9 hours, and the 5 of us walked about 18 miles. The day also consisted of a Ferry trip from Embankment to Greenwich.
We estimate that over £3000 was raised towards the Reclaim the Rovers campaign.
THE GROUP :
The London Rovers were formed in 1993, uniting under the common theme of Raith Rovers supporters living in London and the south–east.
The participants on 14th August 2005 were :
Niall Russell
Bill Gilby

Steve Wallace
Greig Codd
All of the group are lifelong supporters of Raith Rovers FC.
